Love Boat for Four: Azuma Sushi

So we were back at Azuma. This time for Wil's birthday so it's not at all surprising that that's where we ended up. It was a cold, rainy night in Victoria and for some reason there were lines everywhere, so it was after a long wait that we were finally inside and seated. My tummy rumbled.

This time we took Jonny and so our usual love boat for two was just not going to cut it. And they don't swing that way at Azuma so a love boat for four it was!   There was no complaining at our end: Jonny took the extra miso and all of us were willing to help up with the fourth portion of sushi and sashimi! Then an S.O.S snuck its way onto our table so we had to deal to that too. The S.O.S is scallops, prawns and other mystery seafood baked into an oyster shell with a creamy, rich, mayo-y like sauce. It's delicious but super rich so best shared.

It was a good as it always is, maybe better this time as we got a couple of sushi rolls and the tempura shrimp was a nice change. I really don't feel the need to blather on here about how melt-in-your-mouth amazing the tuna was, or how you really do seem to get your money's worth at Azuma. Nor do I need to tell you about the other tasty options on their menu.  Read my other posts! If you're in Victoria and you haven't been yet, go! I promise you won't be disappointed. And if you're too lazy I promise we'll go again and I'll write and post more photos so you can live vicariously through our sushi-induced bliss.

And one day we might make it to Ebizo.
