Mo:Le Take Two

Today it was time for a long overdue catch up with Nicole, and an especially exciting catch up since she had so much new going on in her life. This meant that as we wandered down Lower Pandora her nose twitched a little and she swiveled around in a flash - there was something that had taken her fancy.  This something was the aroma of coconut curry coming from Mo:Le and although Nicole didn't end up choosing the curry we both had a super delicious and satisfying lunch.

I chose the Maple Syrup Grilled Vegetable Sandwich which was quite possibly the best grilled sandwich I'd had in a long time: eggplant, zucchini, peppers and herbed goats cheese, all creamy, toasted and delicious.  It came with a side of the fall squash soup which was warming on a windy afternoon.

Nicole ended up choosing the chicken bun, which would have been my second choice. It had spicy cooked chicken with harvati, tomato, lettuce and some avocado added by Nicole. By her verdict it was tasty, but she was looking for more heat in the spiced chicken.

I have to say I love Mo:Le. The decor is funky, the staff super on to it and the menu always stumps me and I have to play eeny meeny miny mo with my top three of the day in order to make a choice. Today there was a bourbon and vanilla french toast as a special and it was super hard not to pounce on it. Being Halloween half the staff were dressed up and that's something that I am coming to love about Canada: their enthusiasm and dedication to every holiday. Everywhere in town is all decked out and all the littlies are getting ready to trick or treat. As for lunch though, I, if not we, will definitely be back!
