Sometimes you just need a wee sweet treat before bed. Tonight was one such night and a hot chocolate was just what I felt like. For Christmas I'd been given some Cocoa Camino Chili Hot Chocolate (thanks Wil!) and a hot cup of this is just divine on a cold Winter's evening. So tonight I spooned a few spoons of chocolate powder into a pan with a cup of milk and left it to heat. Once it was nice and hot I used my mini-milk steamer to aerate the milk a little and give it some extra creaminess then poured it into my mug, topping with some chili cocoa powder from my spice cupboard. Then just because I could I grabbed a Tim Tam and dipped it in, then sipped my hot chocolate using the tim tam as my straw. Pure indulgence!
I love chili and chocolate together, in particular the Lindt 70% cocoa dark chocolate with chili is awesome. If you haven't tried it I suggest you do, though if you're not a chili fan it might not be quite up your alley, it is a little different.
